My good friend Tanna (~tehrooki) was talking about this great site Kiva on Facebook the other day, and I've decided I want to get in on it, too.

Kiva.org is a site that provides people in third world countries with micro loans (from 25 bucks and up) that they borrow from users on the site in order to get their new business up and running. Eventually, the money comes back to the user and they can then give the loan to a different person, rinse and repeat as much as they want!

It's like making a donation, but instead of just giving a person 25 bucks, you're helping them get the tools to make much, much more than 25 bucks, and it doesn't cost you a dime once they return it.

Basically Kiva is an awesome cause. Trouble is, I don't have 25 bucks in my paypal account yet in order to get started. That's where you lovely ladies and gents come in.

Once I have 25 bucks in my paypal account, I'll make my first donation to Kiva. I'll post a screenshot and keep you updated so I don't appear to be some sort of artsy swindler with no soul. After the first $25 I receive, for every $50 worth of art I do, I will put $25 of it towards Kiva.

So, you get to help me help others help themselves, and you get a pretty picture out of it, too! Everyone's a winner. So, care to request some art? ;)

Now 5 bucks will get you a sketch of anything you want! Can't get much more affordable than that. ;)



The prices: (cheap!)

$5 will get you a pencil sketch,
$10 for a clean pencil drawing,
$15 will get you a fully-inked drawing,
and $20 will get you a colored drawing, digital or with colored pencil (specify)
$30-??? bucks for something ridiculously complex or large. I will judge this reasonably. =)

I will ONLY accept payment through PayPal. The email address I use on there is the same as my personal email, thewizardess@gmail.com.


Examples:


Clean Pencil, Ink, Digital coloring, and colored pencil coloring (respectively)
